I made The Nestle Disco Cookies

Yeah I made Glittery Chocolate Cookies.

Were they worth the premium price I paid? How did they taste? Would I do this again? Well I have two more bags of these Disco Chips, so what are my thoughts?

I learned about these chocolate chips a couple weeks ago on Pinterest. Nestle adds were showing up in my feed and when I saw these ones, I was intrigued. But because the chips are a Walmart exclusive, I ended up ordering them on Amazon for a premium.

So getting into the cookies, I just followed the recipe on the back of the bag. Which is a new recipe to me, but I figured it must be a good paring to the disco chips. They used the chips in cookies for all the promotional material that I had seen (online and packaging at least).

Rating the Recipe:

How Was it to Make?

10/10 Super Easy to make. They took around 15 minutes to mix up and shape into dough balls. They also only took about 10 or so minutes to fully bake. The recipe has you shape the dough into balls and dip them into the chocolate disco chips so they are visible after baking. The dough is really thick and honestly felt like playdough with the shaping. I can imagine that it would be a fun recipe to make with young children for the ease of making and playdough like quality.

How was the Taste?

8/10 A pretty good cookie. They hold up nicely to being handled; they aren't going to completely fall apart on you. The chocolate flavor is also very nice and they were not overly sweet. You cannot taste the glitter at all so it is just in appearance. Overall it is pretty good but not a complete showstopper.

Overall I think they are nice if you REALLY want glitter. But they really are just plain chocolate chips with some glitter added. So take that as you will. Thank you for reading!
